Confined Space Training - Construction

A confined space can be any place of an enclosed nature where there is a risk of death or serious injury from hazards.

Some confined spaces are fairly easy to identify such as storage tanks, silos, reaction vessels, enclosed drains and sewers. Others may be less obvious, but can be equally as dangerous.

By virtue of its enclosed nature, there arise a number of specified risks including:

  • Serious Injury though Fire or Explosion
  • The loss of consciousness or Asphyxiation due to the presence of gas fume vapour or a lack of oxygen
  • Drowning in increased level of Liquid
  • Asphyxiation due to engulfment in a free flowing solid.

At Safeon we have a suite of training courses that will suit every requirement and if required our courses can be developed in a more bespoke manner to suit your organisations specific needs.

All courses are available as a blended training solution and as a traditional 100% classroom approach.

We work to a City & Guilds standard and can provide either in-house or City & Guilds certification.

City & Guilds Construction

This suite of courses is designed to replicate confined spaces for those who are required to work on any commercial (construction) premises in and around UK mainland.

These courses will enable delegates to develop the essential, underpinning skills and knowledge required and to pass a competency based assessment. The assessment addresses planning, entering, working and exiting confined spaces including via a vertical shaft and where escape breathing apparatus is a part of the planned means of self-rescue.
